LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO PURCHASE BODY ARMOR

To lawfully purchase body armor from Ballistic Defence LLC, you must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (LPR) and at least 18 years old. By proceeding with your purchase, you affirm that you meet these legal requirements.

STATE RESTRICTIONS

While body armor is legally available in most states, certain restrictions apply:

• Connecticut Residents: As required by law, non-law enforcement individuals in Connecticut may not purchase body armor online. All transactions must occur in person at a licensed dealer.

• New York Residents: Only individuals in approved professions (e.g., law enforcement, military, security contractors) may legally purchase body armor. Documentation must be provided.

• Orders placed from Connecticut or New York that do not comply with applicable law will be cancelled and refunded.

We encourage all customers to verify their local and state regulations before placing an order.

EXPORT REGULATIONS NOTICE

Certain products sold by Ballistic Defence LLC are subject to U.S. export control laws:

• Level III and lower: regulated under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

• Level IV and higher: classified under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Exporting or transferring these items to a foreign country, foreign entity, or non-U.S. person—whether physically or electronically—is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from the U.S. Department of State.

 

LEGAL DISCLAIMER

Ballistic body armor is bullet-resistant, not bulletproof. No armor offers guaranteed protection against all threats. Misuse of body armor in connection with illegal activity may be punishable under federal and state laws. We do not condone, support, or knowingly sell to individuals intending to use armor unlawfully.

 

TESTING STANDARDS

Our ballistic plates are tested either to meet or exceed NIJ standards (e.g., 0101.04 or 0101.06), depending on the product. Independent lab results are available for most products to verify performance. Some models may undergo internal quality checks in addition to formal certification testing.

Ballistic Defence LLC does not recommend unauthorized testing of armor plates and assumes no liability for injury, damage, or loss resulting from misuse or informal testing.
